Pregnant women may take 4 months of maternity leave, starting 1
month before their due date.

Number of Leave DaysPregnant workers are entitled to at least 4 consecutive months of
maternity leave.
Notification for LeaveWorkers need to notify employers in writing when they plan to take
maternity leave and when they plan to return to work. This is to be
done at least 4 weeks prior.
Timing of LeaveWorkers may take maternity leave 1 month before their due date, or
earlier or later as agreed or required for health reasons.
Safety of Pregnant or Nursing WorkersA worker who is pregnant or nursing may not do work that is unsafe
for her or her child.
